Dogs with short noses suffer particularly from the warmth in summer! The dog's most important cooling organ, its nose, is not properly developed and despite strong panting it cannot cool down sufficiently. Considering that the dog fur can heat up quickly to over 65°C/150°F in summer, it is easy to understand how these dogs must feel. Try to spend a whole day outdoors in your winter clothes in high summer.
The canicool cooling products act like a heat shield on the dog, i.e. due to their cooling effect, the dog's own body energy is used much less, it needs less energy to cool down. The heart and the circulation of the dog are thus effectively spared, heat stress is significantly reduced.
In heat stress, dogs inhale up to 300 times per minute through the nose and exhale through the snout. An enormous burden on heart and circulation.
